Rancho® Performance Control Arms – a direct-fit, bolt-on tubular steel design – deliver the performance and durability you are looking for. Rancho Control Arms are engineered to maintain the ball joint in its normal operating range. In addition, provide additional wheel travel and caster to aid in alignment compared to factory control arms on lifted applications. Each Rancho arm features a pre-installed, replaceable ball joint and urethane control arm pivot bushings. Maintaining the control arms is easy, thanks to zerk fittings for easy maintenance (and whisper quiet operation).

The old factory original arm compared to the new Rancho tubular arm. The Rancho arms are beefy and include gusseting where the tubing transitions to the inner arm eye ring mounts.

Sam is preparing to install the optional 6mm thickness spacer shim included in the kit.

(above) Here is the strut assembly ready for re-installing with the 6mm spacer shim. The spacer simply slips over the strut top mounting bolts. Once the job is complete, the 6mm spacer provides approximately half an inch of front end suspension lift height.

(above) For the original installation, Sam individually hand greases each working part. Before installing the bushes, hand grease the internals of the inner mount eyes. Hand grease the bushes inside and out. Hand grease the inner locating sleeves before installation. Pack it like a grease mud pie. You can always wipe off the excess.

(above) Sam begins to install the new arm. Sometimes aligning the top bolt is fiddly.

(above) The new Rancho arms include mounting taps for the ABS wires, plus fitting hardware.

(above) Sam greases the ball joints that are included and pre-fitted with the new arms, before pushing on their dust cover caps.

(above) Sam's not waving at you. He's demonstrating that even on full droop travel of the suspension, and that in this case a longer travel strut, there is ample clearance between the control arm and the coil spring. No contact.


Toyota Hilux diff drop kit


(above) Sam's now installing the diff drop kit that is included with the package. Here the billet alloy spacers go between an extension of the frame and the diff arm mounts. A diff drop spacer kit helps with CV shaft angles on leveled or lifted vehicles.
