FOAM CELL TECHNOLOGY
Micro-cellular closed-cell foam insert maximises cooling efficiency by occupying less internal space than compared to a gas-charged shock. This combination of greater oil capacity and more surface area maintains lower operating temperatures.

LEAF SPRING FEATURES:
INTER-LEAF LINERS:
Used in some applications to lower friction between leaves. Reduces noise and improves comfort.
LINED BOLT CLAMPS:
All Ironman leaf springs feature bolted guide clamps for greater flex. The addition of anti-friction liners ensures noise-free smooth operation.
SHOT-PEENED:
Manipulates tension side of material to reduce stress. This greatly enhances spring life.
DIAMOND-CUT LEAFS:
Distributes load at the leaf tip and reduces inter-leaf friction.
MILITARY WRAP:
Where applicable, an additional wrap around the leaf eye protects from failure in the case of damage.
Ironman 4x4 Coil Springs are available in a wide range of load ratings to maintain optimum ride height.
COIL SPRING FEATURES:
COLD-COILED:
CNC cold-coiling ensures perfect consistency and accuracy. Less heat during manufacture maintains material properties resulting in longer life.
BAR-PEELED:
Bar-peeling is the process of machining the material to an exact size before cooling. This ensures the diametre remains constant and free of flaws along its entire length.
SHOT-PEENDED:
Manipulates material surface tension to reduce stress. This greatly enhances spring life.
TRIPPLE-SCRAGGED:
Each coil is fully compressed to a solid state (3) x times to minimise coil setting.
PROGRESSIVE & LINEAR RATES:
Used in accordance to original vehicle manufacturers preference. Progressive springs increase rate as the spring compresses. Linear springs maintain a consistent rate throughout its range.
POWDER-COATED:
All springs are electro-static poweder-coated for a durable finish.
TORSION BARS:
UP-SET FORGED ENDS:
Stronger than machining alone. Forging manipulates steel grain for superior strength and durability.
PREMIUM MICRO-ALLOY STEEL:
Exceeds OEM steel grade for ultra long life and less sag.
INCREASED BAR DIAMETER:
Higher spring rate better supports added accessories and balances front and rear suspension performance.
X-RAY EXAMINED:
Each and every Ironman torsion bar is X-ray tested to eliminate risk of breakage due to material flaw.
DIRECTIONAL PRE-SETTING:
Ironman torsion bars are rotationally pre-set in their direction of installation to reduce spring settling. Each bar is marked for left or right fitment.
APPLICATION TIPS:
The correct selection of these components (the application) is important in achieving the best suspension performance.
Each vehicle must be considered individually as many variables can influence the end result.

- Your usage or intended usage. (ie: Mainly around town and unladen, or plus 2 big trips per year. Heavy tool cartage 5 days a week. Towing, ball weight of 80kgs etc.)
- Your personal expectations of the way you feel the suspension solution should perform. ie "ride quality is first priority......"

Ironman 4x4 Load Plus Helper Springs are a great addition to many leaf sprung vehicles carrying loads. Load Plus provides a cost effective way to quickly and easily improve the load carrying characteristics of your vehicle. Perfect for trade vehicles, couriers or even the family wagon. Load Plus allows users to progressively adjust the leaf springs of their vehicle to better manage heavy loads.
If you have an unladen vehicle, leave the load plus at a lower setting. If you add weight (up to the vehicle GVM) you can then progressively tension the Load Plus to maintain your vehicles driving characteristics and ride height by progressively stiffening the suspension.
Load Plus is easy to fit and only requires basic tools for installation.
(above) Load Plus helper spring kits can be used with original-equipment leaf springs, and most other makes of aftermarket suspension lift springs.
(above) This Mazda BT50 is fitted with a 50mm aftermarket suspension lift as well as an Ironman Load Plus kit to cater for the more occasional times that the vehicle carries heavy loads.
FIRST TO MARKET:
Originally established in Melbourne (1958) as a suspension parts manufacturer called Jacob Spring Works. In 1982 the company took shape as JSW Parts, to design and supply leaf and coil springs for cars, trucks, buses and 4×4 vehicles. JSW Parts soon became well known as a manufacturer and supplier of suspension parts all around the world.
Today, one of Ironman's international warehouse and offices is located in Thailand. This provides the opportunity for Ironman to access vehicle models bound for Australia ahead of time. Usually when a new model vehicle is released in Australian, Ironman 4x4 already has an extensively researched and developed suspension system or front-end protection product ready to go.
