The Rancho RSX impact-sensing shock absorbers and struts provide great stability and control without sacrificing comfort.
Licensed by NASCAR trucks these premium-quality shocks feature a unique twin-disc valve design, a teflon-banded piston together with a micro-polished cylinder wall, and are manufactured to the highest industry standards.
On the compression stroke, the revolutionary disc vale set design partially opens at low piston speed to provide limited oil-flow. The achieves firm and stable maneuvering when taking corners at low speed, or changing highway lanes.
When the piston speed increases due to bumps, potholes, sharp cornering, or emergency braking at high speed, an intermediate disc is activated allowing an increase in oil-flow, resulting in increased vehicle stability and safer road handling - with minimal impact on driver and passenger comfort.
On the rebound stroke, the twin disc rebound design features a scalloped intermediate backing plate that allows the valve disc to flex as the piston speed increases, which meters the oil flow as demanded by the driving conditions.
The outcome is a cushioning of harsh road conditions.
