Early in 2001, a committee comprised of Daimler Chrysler executives considered killing-off the iconic Jeep
Wrangler. Apparently, this potentially Jeeper shattering decision would have allowed the long-overdue demolition of the horrible, early-20th century, Toledo assembly plant.
Thankfully, somebody with more brains quashed the idea.
